Kristin Petro Interiors, located in Elmhurst, is looking for an intern to help the designers with various projects. They work with primarily residential design clients. This position will offer students who are interested in residential interiors a great chance to get some hands-on experience.
The intern will need to work 10-12 hours per week, in blocks of at least 3 hours at a time. A car is also required, as they need someone to go to showrooms to select and pick up samples for projects. The intern will also help prepare client presentations. Additional time may also be spent in maintaining their design library.
Students who are near the midpoint of the COD design program (or further) are encouraged to apply. Supporting a working design firm is an excellent learning situation. As such, this is an unpaid internship, but expenses incurred (mileage, parking) will be compensated. As with many internships, there is the potential of this internship leading to a design position.
If you are interested, email Maureen Winans at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include a resume and let her know where you are in our design program.
