Tom Grawe, of UpRight Interiors, recently came to speak with the Office Design Studio and Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment classes. He also shared the exciting news that the internship position we shared here in September is still open! So if you hesitated and then regretted that, there’s still another chance.
UpRight Interiors, which designs commercial office interiors is looking for an intern to join their team! They have offices located in both Oak Brook and Schaumburg, so this would be a great opportunity for students in the West and North West suburbs.
They are specifically looking for someone to help out with smaller design projects and work alongside the Director of Design while learning the ins and outs of planning and specifying commercial furniture. These smaller projects will involve drawing and specifying furniture in both AutoCAD and 2020, creating color palettes, space planning, going on sales calls, and taking field measurements.
The ideal candidate would be available to work two to four days a week for four to eight hours a day, though that is dependent on class schedule. You must be able to have reliable transportation to both the Oak Brook and Schaumburg offices. This is a paid internship, and pay will be negotiated during the interview. If you have taken FF&E or Office Studio, this would be a great opportunity for you!
If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, please send your resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org.
