Greenbuild Conference Round Up

greenbuild1

Shortly before Thanksgiving, the students of the Sustainable Design Class had the opportunity to visit the GREENBUILD International Conference. This was a great opportunity as the students are currently working on their final group projects. As part of the conference, they were able to see the newest in green technology, building practices, and other environmentally responsible goods and services. Students had access to not only the show floor but to seminars by leaders in the Green Building movement and tours of recently completed and currently in progress LEED and WELL certified spaces as well.

Next year the conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia and will have a new host of the latest and greatest in Green Design.

The Sustainable Design Class is an entry level class and is required for the Associates and most Certificates that the Interior Design Program at College of DuPage offers. If you have more questions about taking this course, contact Pam McClelland, who teaches the course.
